I am back! Last week was a very hectic week for me. I had a conference that I had a huge part of for work. I had to prepare and register 366 people for this conference. So as you could imagine my life has been a bit stressful for the past three weeks. I was not the only one on my team stressed. My co-worker expressed to me several times this past week that she has been overwhelmed for weeks as well.
For the past months, I have been preparing for my first child. I am due in February of 2017. I ordered her 3-in-1 crib and spent around $400 on clothes and shoes for her from newborn to 12 months in the past three weeks. We have some family friends who are going to make me a basket of clothes and toys from their daughters as well. A lot of clothes they have still have tags on them. This made me stop buying clothing because I am not sure how slow or fast my daughter will grow. I don’t want to waste any money.
Also in my life, I am still battling with some thought patterns and behaviors that I want to kill all together so I can truly enjoy my new life. Trying to be careful of what I put in my eyes (TV and Internet) and what made up beliefs I create in my head out of fear.
So these are the things I’ve tried out and what I am in the process of doing.

Create your happy space for a bad day
My alter is my sacred space where I go to meditate
On my alter I have a Chakra candle, smudge stick, incense, a small Buddha statue, two small elephant statues, a photo of myself as an infant, rocks, and three decks of tarot cards. Sometimes I place my crystals on my alter if I am not carrying them on my body or in my purse.
Everything on my alter is extremely meaningful to me and puts me in a calm state of mind.
The one thing missing from my alter is a small meditation waterfall. Water is the one element that calms me so quickly. So that is on my wish list. 😃
Go within and meditate
A year ago, I was meditating every day. My co-worker started meditating three days ago and she feels amazing. I remember how that feels.
When I meditate I feel balanced emotionally. I sit in a meditation pose in silence for anywhere between 10-30 minutes. You don’t have to sit Indian style on the floor if you don’t want to. I meditate in that type of posture, as well as, going for a walk in nature.
It really is all about you getting into a comfortable and calming state that allows you to calm your mind and your emotions. Meditation allows the energy within you to just flow through and out.
Find love and enjoy in a healthy way
Love comes is several forms on this Earth. Love is within yourself, your family, your friends, and your pets.
I feel the most love when I am around my spouse. We are so much alike that I can fully be myself with him without criticism and judgment. We have fun, we laugh, and we please one another on all levels. That is truly God in the making to meet your soulmate in this lifetime and it’s like staring in the mirror.
I feel great also when I am alone and I am able to do whatever I want, when I want, and how I want. There is nothing like a long bubble bath surrounded by candles or a 30-minute meditation to quiet your mind. Or sitting down to paint whatever comes to you.
Where ever or with whoever you find peace and love with then you should make sure you do more of. There is no greater love than the love you have within yourself.
